Ever wonder what fuels the great composers? Well for Erik Satie, it was white foods. His diet consisted—at least for a time—of eggs, sugar, animal fat, salt, coconut, chicken, rice, turnips, pastry, cheese, and wine. He also noted that although he ate quite a lot, he never spoke while eating, for fear of strangulation. - Keep this in mind as this week's festivities unfold.
